In the fall of 2024 ArtSpace36 hosted a series of community events to create tiny works of art to be sold to raise money to produce and install a bench in memory of the students we have lost. We held these events in honor of a Fine Arts Graduate Syliva Boheen whose life was lost way too soon. Your purchase of art on this wall will support this effort and make it possible for us to install this bench in front of the Williams-Insalaco Gallery located on the main campus of FLCC.

Artist Talk with Sherrill Roland
Thursday, March 3rd, at 6 p.m.
Sherrill Roland’s interdisciplinary practice deals with concepts of innocence, identity, and community; reimagining their social and political implications in the context of the American criminal justice system. For more than three years, Roland's right to self-determination was lost to wrongful incarceration. After spending ten months in prison for a crime he was later exonerated for, he returned to his artistic practice, which he now uses as a vehicle for self-reflection and an outlet for emotional release
